Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth – Proverbs 6:2
A old saying was “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt.” Words do hurt mentally and emotionally and they linger in the memory that causes anger, hurt and low self-esteem. We can also cause harm to ourselves by the words we speak.
Words are actions and they are also spirit and they will manifest in our life with either blessings or curses. Realistically, there are things we will never have, but there are blessings God has for us, but we talk ourselves out of them by saying and thinking negative words. Many parents are the offspring of what their parents spoke over them and they in turn speak the same thing over their children.
Words are powerful they can establish or destroy. It takes just as much effort to speak positive as it does to speak something negative. Speak what God says about you and your family and not what Satan is speaking to you and about others. Many of the problems people are facing is because of negative words spoken about them.
Before we speak, we need to think about what were saying about others, if its not positive, we need to keep the thought and not speak it. In your prayer time you need to pray against any spoken words spoken over you and your family, speak blessings and apply the blood of Jesus against all negative words. We’re in a spiritual battle with an enemy we can’t see, time out for children like prayers, we need to come against Satan and his co-host as mature Christians wearing the armor of God and the anointing to destroy yokes and bondages off ourselves and others.
