Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children – Ephesians 5:1

We are the generation God has set apart to witness and participate in the end-time harvest that is prophesied in His Word. The eyes of God roam to and fro throughout the body of believers searching for the remnant among His people that He can trust to be accountable for the anointing, power, and authority that will be evident in these last days.

Esther was given an opportunity to be used by God to save her people. We are being given that same opportunity, Esther, of course, was tempted to run from the responsibility. She was aware that it would cost her everything including her life if she chose to do what was required of her. As she thought of the matter, Mordecai informed her “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this,” before this statement, Esther had been in preparation to be presented before the king. Our world is in need of some Esther’s, but before they can go before the King, they too must be in preparation. They can’t go before the King on the behalf of people with willingly sin in their lives.

In order to get our prayers answered, we must abide in Jesus and His Word in us (If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you – John 15:7). Abiding in Jesus means believing He is God’s Son, doing what God says, continuing in faith and relating to the community of believers. Many people try to do good, be honest, and do what is right, but Jesus says the only way to live a truly good life is to stay close to Him, like a branch attached to the vine. Apart from Him, our efforts are unfruitful. Just like Esther, we have to be willing to lose everything including our life to follow Him. His desires become our desires, His will becomes our will, and just like Jesus, we spend time communicating with the Father.

To be empowered by God, the Spirit of God will lead us to the wilderness, but before being led into the wilderness we need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit in order not to be overtaken in our wilderness as Jesus was empowered before He was led in the wilderness (And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him – Matthew 3:16). After being empowered then was Jesus led into the wilderness (Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil – Matthew 4:1). 

If Jesus needed the Holy Spirit to defeat Satan, so do we. The Spirit led, and Jesus followed.  Every leading of the Spirit will not be happy, glorious and without trouble, the wilderness is where we are being made in the image of God and His Son, the wilderness is where we will either grow or be taken by the wilderness. If we’re weak spiritually, we can’t help others; it’s either fight or die. We fight through prayer, fasting, reading the Word of God, speaking the Word of God. If we die in the wilderness, the flesh has won, and we become servants of flesh rather than God. This is why we need the baptism of the Holy Spirit to empower us accompanied with knowledge of the Word of God and submitting to the Word of God.

The world is in trouble, meaning the people that are in it, not the planet. Prayer is needed to change the lives of people and their thinking. Get the thinking right, their actions will be right. Only those who dedicate themselves to God can go before God on the behalf of others. Individuals are in need of people consistently praying for them until they are freed from the stronghold of sin, strongholds of unbelief, strongholds of hypocrisy. We have the answer to our world’s problem.

God did not tell us to place our belief in the government or it’s leaders (If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land – 2nd Chronicles 7:14). We were instructed to pray for them, but not to place our trust and confidence in them ( I exhort therefore, that, first of all prayer, supplications, prayers, intercession, and giving of thanks be made for all men. For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty – 1st Timothy 2:1-2). As we present ourselves to God in true worship, He will hear our prayers and He will also answer our prayers.
