It’s Me Lord

Be careful (anxious) for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus – Philippians 4:6-7.

Be careful for nothing means not to worry, if we want to worry less, then we have to pray more. Whenever we start to worry, we need to stop and pray. God’s peace is different from the world’s peace. It is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or in good feelings. Real peace comes from knowing that because God is in control, our citizenship in the kingdom of God is sure, our destiny is set, and our victory over every difficulty, situations and circumstance comes through Jesus’ help.

What we put in our minds determines what comes out in our words and actions. When we program our minds with the Word of God, when any other thought comes to our mind that is contrary to the Word of God, His written Word will take dominion over our thoughts. We need to examine what we’re putting into our minds through television, books, movies and magazines. We need to replace harmful input with wholesome material, take time to pray and read the Word of God. Studying the Word of God brings about knowledge of God and His Word, reading from the surface will give us the basics, but when we take time to actually study the Word is when His Word will give us knowledge and wisdom of the Spirit as well as for our natural life.

Every Christian will have anxiety at one time or another, but when we place our trust in God and His Word, it will remove anxiety, it doesn’t always remove the problem, but it will give us peace in the midst of the situation. God has a set time for everything, we can’t rush God, He knows everything we’re going through, He knows how we’re feeling while were in the midst of the storm, and He also know if we will or will not trust Him with the situation.

There is nothing greater than the God we serve, His thoughts towards us are good and His desire is to bring us to our destiny. We’re on a spiritual journey, and on this journey comes many giants to try to stop us from reaching our destiny. What soever come to try to detour us, we must stay focus, we should continue in prayer and fasting, this is a way to stop some of the fiery darts of the enemy from bringing fear and doubt. Staying close to God is where we should be when we’re going through difficult times, the adversary wants us to stop praying, fasting, attending church when we’re going through difficulties, this is when he can destroy us when we stop fighting.

When we’re in the valley, its a good time to continue to praise Him, don’t wait until your out of the valley, you maybe in the valley for a while, don’t stop praising Him. You’re not praising Him for the difficulties, you’re praising Him because you know He’s the one that has all power, He’s the one that can speak one word and everything must come subject. He’s the one that loves you with an everlasting love, He’s the one that will never allow the adversary to have the victory when you place your trust in Him. Don’t fret, don’t be anxious, don’t have doubt, but know that God is greater, and He’s in control, even if you don’t feel like it, know it!
