But be you doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves – James 1:22.

So many of God’s people want to serve Him, but they also want to serve the world. It’s either God’s way or no way. We have to follow His instructions and apply them.

The Israelites would follow the instructions of God for a while, then return to their old ways, serving and worshipping other gods. If we take the time and think about how God has imparted His nature within us, He has chosen us to be His people; it should be a privilege to serve and worship Him the way He has instructed us to do.

Sanctification is a part of salvation; you can’t have one without the other. Individuals who have accepted Jesus Christ by faith are immediately cleansed and qualified for an ongoing relationship with God. He imparts into them His divine nature (Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust – 2nd Peter 1:4).

The believer has been set free from the bondage and power of sin, the powers of principalities of darkness. Christians are complete in Jesus (For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principalities, and power – Colossians 2:9-10). This means you have power over your fleshly desires; you don’t have to submit to them, but your body is submitted to the Word of God.

Christians have been admonished to present their bodies as living sacrifices holy and acceptable to God. Christians are the church individually; the relationship of Christ to His church is illustrated by that of a husband to his wife. Christ is called the Bridegroom, and His church is called the bride.

You have never read in Scripture about a girlfriend and boyfriend or a man and his woman because He made them in the garden to be husband and wife, meaning they were not in the Garden of Eden fornicating or committing adultery.

Christians are to be Christlike, separated from the world’s sins. We have to guard our eyes and ears to keep Satan’s influences from bombarding our thoughts, causing us to react in actions that are against the Word of God.

God has given Christians everything they need to fight against the influences and attacks of Satan. The problem is that most Christians don’t pray as they should, they don’t read and study the Word of God, and they don’t fast. These are things to do to shield ourselves from the influences of Satan.

Satan is not playing; he tries to eliminate everyone before his time. The problem is many are dying going to hell because they reject salvation, they rejected the instructions of God’s Word thereby leaving them servants of Satan and adversaries of God.

One can’t follow the instructions of God if they don’t know the instructions. The Bible was created so that every professing Christian would know how to contact God and get help, what God expects from them as Christians. Just because one does not know the Bible does not make them exempt from the discipline of God or His wrath. Every Christian must know what is expected from them by reading and studying God’s Word, the Bible.

How do you know whether or not you’re living the way God has instructed you to live? Many think because they don’t drink, do drugs, fornicate or commit adultery that they are Christians. It’s much more to Christianity than not drinking, doing drugs, fornicating, and committing adultery.

Are you worshipping Him in Spirit and truth? You can’t if you have not been filled with the Holy Spirit. Only through Him can one live a life submitted to God’s Word. Do you love everyone? Can you forgive when people have wronged you? Are the Fruits of the Spirit being manifested in your life?

To get the benefits of the written Word, we must know the written Word. We must apply the written Word to our daily lives to bypass hell and enter heaven. It’s God’s way or no way!
