Read The Bible

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them – Revelation 9:6.

After the return of Christ, those who have been left behind will go through the Tribulation period. It will be so bad that people want to die and can’t die because death will flee from them.

Can you imagine wanting to die but can’t? That is a bad situation, and no one has to go that route because God gave us a way of escape by accepting salvation through His Son. Satan has influenced so many that believe Christ will not return or there isn’t a God (Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. – 2nd Thessalonians 2:3.

The world is in a state of apostasy; apostasy means standing away from, in the sense of falling away, withdrawing, or defecting from the truth. It may result in persecution, false teachers, temptations, worldliness, inadequate knowledge of Christ, moral lapse, forsaking spiritual living and worship, or unbelief.

Satan has influenced so many not to take the time to read and study the Bible. He doesn’t want people to know the truth because they will be set free when they do. He gets people busy doing things, watching television, on their phones, anything but reading their Bible.

Just because one does know the Bible does not mean they will be exempt from the wrath of God because He gives everyone a way to escape hell. Reading the Bible should be a daily practice; the more we know, the more we can escape temptations and the wrath of God.

Yes, God is loving, but He also has wrath (And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth – Revelation 16:1). The wrath of God represent the climax of God’s punishment of sinners during the Tribulation period. No repentance is invited or shown.

Christians can’t live anyway and expect to enter heaven (Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God – 1st Corinthians 6:9-10). The Bible gives instructions on how to bypass hell.

Christians who live according to the Word of God, whether they are living when Jesus returns or have died, are going to a better place (For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord – 1st Thessalonians 4:16.

Christians should live each day as though the Lord is returning. Whatever state He finds us in will determine whether or not we will return with Him. Liars, cheaters, people holding on to offensives, unforgiveness will not return with Him.

The Bible is our mirror, and it will reflect what we should be and what we should not be. If you don’t look into the mirror of the Word of God, you will not know if you’re living according to its standards. Whatever you do, take the time to read and study the Word of God. Have a consistent prayer life and fast without the Pastor calling for a fast. Jesus and death is coming; will you be ready to meet your Maker?
