Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in brother’s way – Romans 14:13.
We can cause others to stumble at true Christianity when we’re living a hypocritical lifestyle. When we do so, God holds us responsible for being a stumbling block.
Christianity is to be Christ-like, being sanctified to the Lord, and presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice. This includes our spirit, soul, and body. Sanctification is not for a certain denomination but for everyone professing to be a Christian.
We’re spirit beings; we will either be submissive to the Spirit of God, Satan, or our human spirit. If we’re being led by any other spirit other than God’s then we’re living in disobedience; and disobedience is sin. As professing Christians, we can’t live any lifestyle and think it’s pleasing to God because it’s not!
We’re the spiritual Jews (But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God – Romans 2:29). The instructions that were given to the Jews to be a holy people; are the same instructions applies to Christians. We have led many to their spiritual destruction because of our lifestyle.
Nonbelievers who are not versed in the Bible think when they see people who profess to be Christians living the same lifestyle they are living, there is nothing wrong with it. As Christians, our lifestyle should be an example of Jesus at all times no matter where we are or what we’re going through (And that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again – 2nd Corinthians 5:15). We were bought with a price, so we don’t belong to ourselves, we belong to Jesus Christ.
We can’t be worshipers of sin and be worshipers of God. Either we will worship Him in Spirit and truth or worship a lie. Satan is the father of lies, and he influences people to follow after his ways rather than God’s. When the Spirit of truth enters an individual, He will only speak the truth and let them know whether or not they are living a life of truth.
Just like God has ministers, Satan also has ministers (And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works – 2nd Corinthians 11:14-15). A minister is a servant, whosoever we obey that’s who servant we are (Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servant ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness – Romans 6:16).
Satan has ministers in the pulpit, and he also has his ministers on stage; both are performing and influencing God’s people to sin against God in their character and behavior. Who you worship is who you are serving; worship is a lifestyle. You can tell who you’re serving by who you give your praises to. Do you talk about your favorite actor or entertainer more than you do God; that’s who servant you are.
It’s the responsibility of God’s people to lead His people to the truth whether they like it or not, whether they apply it or not, the blood will not be on the Christians hand. There is no little sin or great sin, sin is sin, and if we’re practicing sin, according to the Word of God, the wages of sin is death (For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23). If a righteous life is for eternity, sinful life is also for eternity (If thine eye offend [make you sin] thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched – Mark 9:47-48).
To pluck your eye out should be taken figuratively, it means to take whatever drastic action is necessary to avoid sin. Obedience and self-control are necessary to overcome sin. When we live a godly lifestyle we are being representative’s of Jesus, when we live a ungodly lifestyle, we are representative of Satan’s children. There are only two fathers, God our heavenly Father, and Satan, the father of all sinners.
Pray, read the Bible to see if you’re living a lifestyle according to the Bible, if not, pray and ask the Father to help you to live according to His instructions.

Stumbling Block
