There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit – Romans 8:1.

Every born-again Christian is no longer under the sentence of the law, but empowered by the Spirit to live for Christ when Christ’s Spirit lives within them.

We were dead in sins while under the law and held helpless to free ourselves from its bondage and death. We see that the law merely typifies the gospel, and can only be fulfilled by the gospel of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross. We serve God now, not in the old literal sense of forms and rituals, but in the true spiritual meaning (Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God – John 3:5). Our hearts and spirit has to be regenrated by the Spirit of God.

When salvation is accepted in the heart, the individual will become a new creation in Christ. It does not mean the person will stop doing everything they were doing before accepting salvation, but as they yield themselves to the Spirit of God, the things and places they used to go to, they will no longer have a desire for them.

We can’t be a part of the world and part of the kingdom of God. Jesus died for the sins of the world so that the person who believes in Him will no longer be under the bondage and the influence of Satan. Therefore, the reason why we have been justified by faith is because of our belief that Jesus died for our sins, and it was not because of our goodness or owed to us.

No matter how moral a life one may live, they still are sinners and need salvation that comes only through faith in Jesus. The penalty of sin is death, both spiritual and physical. The moment Adam and Eve sinned, they died spiritually; in that sense, everyone is born dead in sin. People who die in their sin in an unsaved state will have to face a second death portrayed as a lake of fire (And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire – Revelation 20:15). There is no reason why one should go to the lake of fire when God has given them a way of escape through salvation in Jesus.

Salvation from sin comes through confession of sin (Romans 10:9, 1st John 1:9). Grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9), Sancfification of the Spirit and belief of the truth ) 2nd Thessalonians 2:13), Godly sorrow (2nd Corinthians 7:10), Faith in the blood of Jesus (Romans 3:25), and faith in the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12). Salvation is free, but sin will cost one soul to live in eternity in torment.

Salvation brings about justification; justification gives us peace with God. Peace with God indicates we’re no longer enemies of God. Peace with God means that enmity and wrath of God have been completely removed and that the believer has been reconciled with God by the price Jesus paid at the Cross.

Nonbelievers and some Christians seek peace through drinking, taking drugs, illicit sex; anything they think would bring them tranquility that only last temporialy. Because of Jesus and our acceptance of Him as our Savior, we now have peace with God and are considered His children. Because we’re His children, He will give us peace in whatever we may be going through.

Acceptance and believing are two different things; James 2:19 – Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe and tremble. So, one must do more than just believe; it must come from the heart; Revelation 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. When salvation is accepted in the heart, then the person becomes a new creature; 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Their thinking and actions change because their spirit and heart have been changed, and they now have the mind of Christ.

Jesus grants the believer admission into the realm of grace through faith. Grace refers to the gift of God’s unearned favor and acceptance. Grace is not the permission to sin and still have the favor of God. Grace is how sinners get to God, but grace is also how sinners continue to interact with God and live for Him. Grace is the entry requirements and the operating procedure of life with God. A person is granted access to this gift of grace through faith.

Jesus is returning for His church, the body of believers. His coming this time will be with the wrath of God and not the love of God for those who rejected salvation and those who professed to be Christians but lived as non-believers. Those who practice sin will not return with Jesus, nor will they enter heaven (And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life – Revelation 21:27). Christians should live daily by the Scripture and look forward to His coming.

Those who has rejected salvation and the teaching of His written Word will take part in the lake of fire (But the fearful, and unblieving, and the abominablwe, and murderers and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death – Revelation 21:8). Those who died in Christ shall wakeup in glory, and those who died as nonbelievers shall wakeup waiting to be rewarded for their nonbelief and their hypocrispy in the lake of fire.

Salvation with sanctification keeps us from the wrath of God. God loves everyone, but He does not love sin. He has given everyone a way of escape His wrath by receiving salvation through His Son, Jesus. Salvation comes through no other, but His Son. Attending church and living like a nonbeliever is called hypocrispy, they too will receive the wrath of God.
