Broken to Minister

The husbandman that laboreth must be first partaker of the fruits (2nd Timothy 2:6)

  • Husbandman – A land worker, farmer
  • Laboreth – To labor, toil, work hard
  • Partaker – Receive, take
  •  Fruits – Used figuratively of repentance, industry, holy life, Christ-like (Fruit of the Spirit), sinful life, the reward of righteousness.

The Apostle Paul used a comparison with soldiers, athletes, and farmers who must discipline themselves and be willing to sacrifice to achieve the results they want. Like soldiers, we have to give up worldly security and endure rigorous discipline.  Like athletes, we must train hard and follow the rules.

Pray Before You Faint

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

 Sometimes it seems as though our prayers aren’t being answered, and it can become discouraging, but know that every time you make an effort to pray, God will be there listening. Faint is to lose faith that God will answer your prayer. No matter how long you have been praying, keep on praying. Read More
