Peace here is not a subjective feeling of peace, rather, this peace is the state of being at peace instead of war. The hostility between God and the believer has ceased. The believer has been reconciled to God. To have access means to approach as if by introduction into a king’s throne room. Believers have been granted admission to stand before God. Rebellion Against the Word of God
Because they obeyed not the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, and would not hear them, nor do them – 2nd Kings 18:12.
Disobedient to the instructions of the Word of God can cause us to miss our blessings and become in bondage to the very thing we have placed before God by serving them and not God. Counting the Cost of Discipleship
“Whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple – Luke 14:27″.
As Christians, we are in this world but were not to be conformed to this world’s thinking and actions.
