Marriage is Symbolic of the Church

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and the two shall be one flesh (Ephesians 5:31).

Marriage was ordained by God in the Garden of Eden between Adam and Eve. Every since Satan convinced Eve to disobey God and both her and her husband ate of the forbidden fruit it has been Satan’s goal to destroy the human race. Satan comes in different disguises to steal, kill and destroy physically, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, financially, educationally as well as relationships. His main goal is to destroy individuals before and after they come into a relationship with God. Marriage is symbolic of the church, the relationship of Christ to His church is an illustration of that of a husband to his wife. A mutually supportive attitude must be characterize by both husband and wife if they are to succeed in building a harmonious home.

Marriage shouldn’t be over after the honeymoon, a marriage will be tried and if the love is not agape love, couples will fall out of  love with one another because it wasn’t true love. True love never dies neither does it give up on an individual. Jesus died for the church, and couples must be like-wise with their dedication to their spouse. It was the love of  the Father that drew us to Him, and we should be an example of our Father that we should be able to draw ours spouses with loving-kindness. Marriage have been fought against by pornography, adultery, fornication, couples willing to live together, but not make the marriage vow that comes with commitment.

Any time someone resists against the ordination of marriage that God ordained is being used by Satan, he fought against the unity in the Garden of Eden and he is still fighting against marriage because its an example of the church. Jesus instructed Peter “Upon this rock, I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”.  The Bible speaks of the believer as the Bride of Christ; Jesus didn’t say Hell wouldn’t come against the church, He said it wouldn’t prevail. We have to have the same mind-set with our marriage, hell may come against it, but it will not prevail.

Whoever and whatever comes against your marriage is a messenger of Satan, your’re not fighting against the individual, but you’re fighting against the spirits that’s coming against your marriage through the individual.  As you do the right thing towards God and your spouse, God will perfect that which concerns you. Many divorces could have been avoided if someone would have been willing to hold on through the test of time and willing to wait and allow God to make every crooked way straight in their marriage.  Don’t give up on your marriage, give it to God and allow Him to direct your way, and as you do it God’s way; whether you be reconcile with your spouse or not, you will come out having the victory because you were willing to wait on God and as that door was or has been closed, God will open another door, better than the one that was closed (Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder {between} Matthew 19:6).

Obedience

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live -Deuteronomy 30:19.

God created us with a free will.  This means that we have the choice to choose whether or not we will submit ourselves to God and His Word or choose to live life the way we desire.  God has the heart of a father and He yearns for His children to be blessed this is why He has given us instructions through His written Word.

In order to know God you must have a relationship with Him. This comes through reading, studying and submitting to His written instructions for professing Christians. Talk with Him daily through prayer and just talking to Him as your Father and friend. Tell Him about your day, tell Him what bothers you, this is building a relationship.

Your obedience to God’s Word will not only be a blessing to you, but also for your children as well as you household. God is faithful and can’t lie, what He promise that will He do. Cover your children and spouse with prayer, instruct them in the Word of God, don’t quote Scripture and then don’t live by them.

Read and study the Bible, adhere to its instructions and see and receive God’s blessings for you and your family. Disobedience will take the hedge of protection God gives to those who submit to His instructions. God’s blessings comes with enjoyment, Satan blessings will come with torement after you receive them for a length of time.  Your obedience is your insurance policy to be with the Lord when death comes to your door, there is life after death, and you don’t want to wakeup in the burning section!

Confronting Anxieties

Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (Philippians  4:6)

Webster Dictionary defines anxiety as worry or uneasiness about what may happen.  An eager but uneasy desire, concern or fear.  Sometimes life can bring so many challenges and issues at once it will bring about anxiety and especially if you don’t have a relationship with the Father and Son, and even then somtimes rather than living by faith, we live by our emotions. Christianity doesn’t exempt life challenges issues, but it does exempt the Christian from failure and defeat.

Your situation maybe so over-powering it may appear you will not come out of it alive, and in some cases sickness prevailed over healing, but the individual wasn’t defeated if he or she was a true Christian. They will be with the Lord (We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord – 2nd Corinthians 5:8). The Lord rejoices over the death of the saints (Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints – Psalm 116:15). So whether we live or die as a true Christians, death nor Satan has the victory.

Satan bombards our thoughts that does not line up with the Word of God. Fear, unbelief, anxieties does not come from God. Satan oppresses the believer bringing about depression. As long as there is life in your body, God has a way and set time to bring you out of your dilemma. As Christians we must guard our eyes and ears of what we see and hear. If you’re only placing all the things that’s hapening in the News Media, you will open a door for Satan to oppress and depress. Just as the body needs vitamins and nutritions to stay healthy, the heart and spirit needs spiritual food to stay spiritual healthy.  Feed your heart and spirit with the Word of God, read books by authors you’re familiar with that will not dilute the Word of God.

Satan attacks Christians in their minds to try to hinder and block them from completing their assignments. Don’t wait for the attack; keep you heart and mind filled with the Word of God so when the attack occur you will have ammunition to fight. Stop allowing Satan to defeat you in your mind, you are the victor not the victim (Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us – Romans 8:37).
