Power In the Name of Jesus

And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple. And he gave heed unto them expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth raise up and walk (Acts 3:2,5,6).

Peter and John were on their way to the temple to pray, but as they were entering the temple there was a man there asking for alms who had been lame from birth. This man was brought by someone daily to the gate of the temple to ask for alms. When the lame person saw Peter and John, he asked for alms, but rather than receiving money, he received healing. Soldier

Thou therefore endure hardness (hardship), as good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangle himself with the affairs of this life: that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier (2nd Timothy 2:3-4).

God chose you, and it’s your choice if you will accept His invitation. Just as in the natural military; God is looking for a soldier with qualities that will meet His standards. Everyone cannot join the military if they don’t have the qualifications. When a soldier joins the military he or she is aware they will be in a battle with the enemy, and the military prepares them for the battle. Persistence

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (lose heart) Luke 18:1.

 We should be persistent in our prayer until the answer comes.  Jesus knew we would lose heart when our prayers haven’t been answered quickly, so He instructed the disciples then and now, don’t faint, keep on praying. Read More
