Forsaking All

So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple (Luke 14:33).  Forsaketh means literally to renounce or give up. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have to make a commitment to live according to the instructions that has been given us through the written and spoken Word of God. Read More

The Christ of Christmas

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh.                 Ezekiel 11:19 – When Jesus, the Son of God comes into our life, He does an over-haul.  He makes the individual as though they have never sinned. He comes in and gives a check up for repairs. He removes the stony heart,  the heart that has evil thoughts, murder, adultery, fornication. The heart that brings forth envy and jealousy, back- biting, gossiping, ungodly pride and everything else that is contrary to the Word of God. When Jesus, the Son of God comes into our life, He doesn’t leave the individual the way they were before excepting Him as Lord. The old, cold and ungodly nature will be gone. He puts the heart of God in our hearts, He renews our spirit and our thinking. Our behavior changes and exemplifies our Lord as well as our God. When Jesus comes into our life there is no way our behavior will stay the same, our desires will thirst for the righteousness of God to manifest in our being. Our love for mankind will be like our Father, and our nature will be like our Savior; willing to die to our desires to bring others to the Father. We will be gentle like our Father not forcing anyone to except His Son, we will see the sin in others, but will not be dogmatic about it. We would pray, asking the Father to give us the wisdom to bring the individual to Christ, just as our Father drew us with loving-kindness. As you unwrap your gifts on Christmas, remember, the best gift you can ever receive will be the Son of God. His gift is not a one-day gift, but it’s for eternity. There is no relationship that could be greater than having a relationship with the Father and the Son. The joy they bring is unspeakable, unexplainable and the peace they give will surpass all human understanding. Allow the Son of God to come into your life and bring a change;  salvation is more than a religion, it’s a spirit change and no one can do that but the Son of God.

God Is Always With You

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle (scorch) upon thee – Isaiah 43:2 In spite of Israel’s deliberate rejection of God and His Word, He reassures them that He would always be with them. We are the spiritual Israel, and just as He was with them, He will also be with us. Trials and tribulations will either draw you to God or push you from Him. Although trials and tribulations are difficult times, God is in the midst with you, He will never leave you or forsake you and especially when you’re going through troubling circumstances. In this Christian life, you will have trials and tribulations into you enter into Heaven’s Gate, but place your faith in God that He will never leave or forsake you.The angels of God are encamped around about those that love Him, and before Satan can throw his darts, he has to receive permission from God. God has promised the children of God that they are more than conquerors; in order to conquer, you have to go through something to conquer it. God will never allow you to enter into a trial without being there to walk you to the exit.
