Sin

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield  (present) ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield (present) yourselves unto God and those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God – Romans 6:12-13 As Christians we should have a new nature, conversion requires the commitment of the total personality, intellect, emotion and will. We should not be doing the same things we were doing before we except and confessed Jesus as our Savior. Jesus died so that we cold be free from sin, He didn’t die so that we could continue to live our sinful lifestyles. When the Spirit of God embodies our physical being, He makes a change if you desire and allow Him to make a change in your desires. We cannot serve God and Satan, too many Christians are trying to serve God and Satan, you cannot serve the two; you’re going to either serve God or Satan. Whoever you’re yielding yourself  to, that’s who you’re serving.

Endurance

For ye have need of patience (endurance) that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise – Hebrews 10:36 .  Christianity is not just a name it and claim it religion. The Word of God has instructions for us to follow, and in order to receive the promises of God, we must follow the instructions. God has promised no good thing would He withhold from them that walk uprightly before Him. So if you  are living according to the Word of God, you shall receive the promises, don’t fret, God’s Word is true and He will fulfill His promise to you no matter how long you may have been waiting. He may be waiting on you to be mature enough spiritually to handle the promises without back-sliding.

Confession

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1st John 1:9  – God doesn’t want us to make excuses for our sins nor does He want us to hide our sins, but to come to Him and admit we have sinned against Him or offended someone. When we confess our sins, it brings God’s  healing into our spirit, minds and bodies and it mends broken relationships, and most of all its brings us back to right standing with God.
