Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth – 3rd John 1:2
Ninety to ninety-five percent of Christians today face some type of financial problem or crisis. Satan attacks Christians in their finances, he brings sickness, emotional and mental distresses as well as division in the marriage. Regardless of the financial pressure or what crisis and hurtful circumstances you maybe in, you can experience the breakthrough you need to know it’s God’s will that you prosper in your finances and in every area of your life!
Whatever crises you’re facing regarding your finances or other concerns, you must take your eyes off your circumstances, and set your spiritual focus on God as your Divine Source of provision, and act on God’s promises to you through His word. You must face your financial problems with a solid scriptural foundation concerning God’s will for your finances.
If you’re not convinced that it is God’s will to supply your needs and prosper you, when Satan attacks your finances or what concerns you, your faith will begin to waiver. You will begin to worry, doubt and fear will fill your heart and mind, then you will be unable to release your faith to get your needs met because when we waiver in our faith, it stops the prayer from being answered (But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waver is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord – James 1:6-7).
If we’re the cause of the dysfunction in our finances or relationships, first we need to repent, and ask for forgiveness, then can we apply the word of God to our circumstance. Unconfessed sins will cause one to not prosper. As Christians, we should neither neglect or indulge ourselves, but care for our physical needs and discipline our bodies.
God wants our soul to prosper as well as our health, good health and a sick soul can lead to hell. A sick soul is rejecting the instructions of God’s written word, living as a carnal Christian. Submitting to the word of God will bring prosperity in every area of our life and being.
