The Blood Still Works
But this man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified (Hebrews 10:12, 14).
Jesus came to reconcile us to the Father; the only way He could reconcile us was through the shedding of His blood for our sins. Prior to Jesus’ death, the priest would sacrifice goats and calves for the sins of the people and they would have to repeat the sacrifice often because animal sacrifice could not take away sin, they provided only a temporary way to deal with sin until Jesus came to deal with it permanently. There is no other method or person that can bring us before God other than our acceptance of Jesus sacrificing His life for our life. His blood continues to cleanse us as we submit ourselves to the Word of God. Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes, we are healed. The wounds Jesus took for us healed us from spiritual death, spiritual sickness and disease. His blood keeps us from the wrath of God when we sin because when He looks at us, He looks at the blood of His Son that was shed for us for the remission of sin.
This does not mean we should continually live or practice sin because we’re under grace! Jesus paid the price for us to live a life of godliness, the choice is yours whether you want to live according to the Word of God or according to your desire. God has empowered every Christian to live according to His Word through His Son, Jesus (Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus that great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Make you perfect [complete] in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever, Amen – Hebrews 13:20-21). One must desire to submit to the will of God in order for Him to empower you to live according to His written instructions, the Bible.
The days are going to be more wicked and evil than it has ever been, Jesus is soon to return but while the Christians are waiting for His return they must stay focus on what was completed at the Cross. Everything Satan will try to use to influence you with sin Jesus has empowered you to overcome it. Satan has power, but he and his cohost must submit to the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus and the Word of God. Jesus’ death was not in vain, He has conquered Satan, He has conquered death, He has conquered sickness, He has conquered lack, whatever Satan will try to defeat you in, Jesus has already conquered it!
