When God Says “Let”
In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void: and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved (was hovering over) upon the face of the waters.
God, all Sovereignty One, Creator of the universe isn’t asleep; neither is He not aware of what’s happening on the earth. He’s the God that took nothing and made something. The first day, He created light, day two, the sky and water. Day three, land and vegetation, day four, the sun, moon and stars, day five fish and birds, and on day six animals and man and food to sustain them. When God said let everything was created and everything came subject to His Word.
The world is in a chaotic state, and people are afraid what may happen with the new person that’s in a leadership of this country. The United States was built upon “In God we trust,” but prayer was taken out of the school, the freedom of speech has been taking away if Christians who are committed to the Word of God speak what the Bible instructs for everyone, it’s considered hatred, but discrimination can be in our cities, and states, employment, and school without being considered as hate. The God we serve never changes, what He did in the Biblical time, He will do in today’s time. Nothing happens by chance or because man made it happened.
Israel was a nation chosen by God, He gave them His laws, but they always wanted to live like their neighbors who was paganistic. Because of His love for them, He continually cried out to them through prophets to return to Him and serve Him, but they would do it for awhile then they would return to their old actions of disregarding the laws of God. In order to get their attention, God would allow the very people that turned them away from God to take them captive. The United States kicked God to the side, and wanted to be their own god! Sad to say, but Christianity has become a social gathering without the Spirit of God or the power of God residing in the body of Christ as well as our churches.
When God wants to get the attention of His people, He will allow something or someone to make them return to the One that’s truly in charge. When we forsake God, we forsake the very One that can help us. Presidential offices have the power of the world, the world that was created by God. But God is the One that has control over the world and the ones He allows to be in offices. When the children of Israel was attacked by their enemy, it was God who allowed it because of their disobedience, but when they returned to God with their whole hearts, He fought their battles.
Why do you think God’s Word instruct us to pray for those who have authority over us ( I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for our all men. For kings, and for all those that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty – 1st Timothy 2:2)? Nothing takes God by surprise, but people be taken by surprise because they don’t pray to hear from God, and they place their trust and confidence in people rather than God.
There was a king named Nebuchadnezzar who was lifted up in pride because of his accomplishments, not giving the glory to God, God took his throne and his kingdom from him and allowed him to lose his mind. When God allowed him to return to his senses, he realized and honored God as God. Nebuchadnezzar also had a son by the name of Belshazzar who also forgot what had been done to his father and he too forgot to honor God. As he was drinking and partying in his palace, a hand came from nowhere and began to write on the wall. When the interpretation was given to what the writing on the wall meant, it was death for that king. God hates pride, and He also hates hypocrisy which is prevalent in those who are professing to be Christians.
If we want to see the hand of God in our world affairs, we will have to return to Him and place our trust and confidence in Him and submitting to His written instructions, known as the Bible. No one is in control, but God. Heaven is His throne, and earth is His footstool. Just as God protected and provided for the children of Israel as He was coming against the Egyptians, He will also provide and protect those whose heart is real towards Him! Nothing can happen unless God speaks “Let”
