Fly As An Eagle

He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strengthen. Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint – Isaiah 40:29-31.

By looking at the lifestyle of an eagle, we can glean valuable lessons that will enable us to soar above any storm of life that comes our way. For example, eagles build their nests on the rocks high atop mountains and from there are well able to weather the elements. Likewise, Christians should build their lives on the “rock” of the Word of God. It’s not enough to just know the Word, but we have to act on the Word of God.

You don’t ever have to be afraid of the circumstances and life challenges because when you place your trust in the Father you know everything will work out for the good and your mind and soul will be at peace. According to the Word of God, He will keep them in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. This does not mean one will do nothing else but think about Jesus, but every time the thought of fear comes to your mind, immediately your mind will think about what the Father will do for you because of your faith and trust in His Son, Jesus.

Christians aren’t exempt from having difficulties in their life; life brings storms and trouble as well as Satan. But whatever comes in the Christian’s life he or she can be strong in their faith knowing that God nor His Son will never leave them or forsake them. Joseph could have felt that God had abandoned him when his brother’s sold him to the Ishmaelites, then after being sold, he was lied on by Potiphar’s wife and sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Joseph never lost his faith in God neither did he deny his faith in God. God was with Joseph when he was sold to the Ismaelites, God was with Joseph when he was in prison, but it didn’t stop what Joseph had to go through.

As children of God we have to cling to our Father when life storms hit, we cling to Him through prayer, praise, fasting, speaking and believing His Word will come to pass in our lives. We say we want to grow in God, then we must be prepared to be mold and shaped in the image of our Father. Whatever it takes to create in us what He wants in us, He will allow it to come to bring out the best in us.

No matter what comes in the life of a Christian, he or she can weather the storm. There is nothing that comes in the life of a Christian that will take God by surprise. He’s not wringing His hands wondering what He’s going to do. Everything must come subject when He speaks. Wait for Him to arrive in your situation and circumstances. He may not come when you want Him to, but He will come and when He comes, He will come with Victory. While you waiting, you’re praying, you’re fasting, you’re reading His Word. You’re speaking and believing His Word.
