The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord as the rivers (channels) of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will (wishes) Proverbs 21:1.
We don’t have earthly kings as we did during the time King Solomon wrote this Proverbs. We do have those that have authority over us both naturally and spiritually that has been given authority to rule over us by natural laws and spiritual laws. Sometimes those who have authority over us don’t have the knowledge to rule or don’t have the compassion and mercy as they should have as a ruler. It does not matter who’s in authority whether it’s naturally or spiritually when they are not ruling as they should we can always go to God in prayer. God is a God who hears and answers prayer, whatever the need maybe, it’s not impossible for God when you have tried everything and everybody, try the Master, God of might and strength, all-powerful and all-seeing, all-knowing. What’s impossible with you, is possible with God.
Too many times we place our confidence in man when God has instructed the believer not to place their confidence or trust in man (Put not your trust in princes nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help – Psalm 146:3). The Scripture is saying don’t place your trust or confidence in nothing more than you do in God. God is the only One that has all authority over everything and everyone. When a man says no, God says yes. When man closes doors, God can open a door, when a man tries to put in place what is against the laws of God that’s when the people of God should be praying against what man is trying to open.
All flesh belongs to God, He is the Creator of mankind and mankind is subject to Him whether they believe in God or not. Only God can change a persons’ heart and God will do that when we begin to pray for the king’s heart to be changed. That king may be your employer, banker, judge, police officer, husband or wife, car dealer, alderman, governor, the mayor as well as president. Most professing Christians don’t have the knowledge of the power of prayer. When Christian’s pray in agreement, it reaches the throne room of God.
Christians have Almighty God as their Father and God, the One who can help you to walk through your Red seas, the God that speaks and people and things must come subject. This is why we have been instructed as Christians to seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. When we need favor we should go to God and ask Him for the favor in what we need, He’s the One that can change the heart of men. Place your confidence and trust in God; pray to God for whatever king is in your life that you need favor with.
