Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses – 1st Timothy 6:12.

Every Christian is in a war with an unseen enemy that is trying to keep them from reaching the promised land of heaven. In order to get there, we must first accept salvation and then submit to the Word of God. Secondly, those who will get to heaven must fight their way there.

Everyday we awaken is another day we have to arm ourselves with the Word of God and the blood of Jesus. Satan’s goal is to destroy as many born-again Christians as he can, he’s not concerned about those that profess to be Christians but still practice sin on a daily basis. He’s not concerned about those that are living a double lifestyle, some days for God and other days of pleasing oneself no matter what the cost. These are called carnal Christians and they have no authority over Satan or his co-host because part of them still serve him.

When God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt when they reached the Promise Land of Canaan they saw people that were taller than them in statues and they feared them because they were giants. Just as the children of Israel had the face their giants to enter into the promised land, we too as Christians must face our giants and fight them in spirit and with the Word of God. Satan attacks and his attacks are vicious, he comes to steal, kill and destroy. He attacks our faith, sometimes bringing sickness, pain, torment in our minds. He attacks our finances and in our relationship with our loved ones.

Satan will even go as far as to attack our loved ones when he can’t weaken our faith in his attacks towards us. Whatever Satan brings, stand strong in your faith. Don’t allow him to bring fear, fear is not of God and fear will not move the hand of God in your circumstance or situations. He will try to bring division between a husband and wife and sometimes will bring adultery in the marriage with the one that is weak in their faith. When adultery is brought into the marriage, it will bring offenses and unforgiveness to the one that has been wronged. Although the one has been wronged they can’t hold on to offenses and unforgiveness if they want their prayers to be heard and answered (And when you stand praying, forgive, if you aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses – Mark 11:25).

Fight back with prayer, not with vengeance. Pray for your spouse, and ask the Father to help you to forgive and release the unforgiveness and offenses. Confess to the Father what you feel towards your spouse so the Father will intervene and your behalf and cleanse you from the sin of offense and unforgiveness (If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1st John 1:9). Satan will try to convince the spouse they have a right to hold on to offenses and unforgiveness, but it’s a lie and it could cost your relationship with the Father.

Sometimes our bodies are wrecking with pain due to physical pain or emotional pain and because were in pain our behavior towards others aren’t as gentle and kind as it should be. Be truthful to your self and admit it, tell the Father about it and ask for grace to be gentle and kind toward others. This is fighting with faith and submission to the Word of God by confess your fault and asking for the Father’s help.

When attacked on your job, don’t fight back with words, but by prayer and supplication let your request be known to God. He already knows what’s going on with your job, He’s waiting for you to tell Him about it and ask for His help. Anytime you begin to pray for those who have wronged you, your heading towards victory because we have been instructed to pray for our enemies (But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you – Matthew 5:44).

Anytime we submit ourselves to the Word and instructions of God, Satan is defeated. Submission is faith and faith moves God. When Satan attacks, you attack back with the Word of God, praying, fasting, applying the blood of Jesus against the attacks of the enemy. When God delivered the children of Israel from Pharaoh, the night before they were to leave; God sent a death angel. God instructed Moses to inform the children of Israel to apply the blood of lambs upon the door post of their homes and when the death angel saw the blood he would pass over.

When we have been born-again, the blood of Jesus has been applied to the doorpost of our hearts. We can then apply the blood of Jesus upon our spouses, children, finances for protection from the attacks of Satan. Jesus informed the disciples then and now whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (And I will give you unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven – Matthew 16:19). Healing is in heaven, loose it upon yourself and loved ones. Peace is in heaven, loose it, joy is in heaven loose it.

When Satan comes to bring division and disunity, bind the spirit of division and disunity, and loose peace and unity in your home, on your job, in your neighborhood. Loose and apply the blood of Jesus against anything that is contrary to the Word of God that comes to steal, kill and destroy. In order for this to work, you can’t be living partially for God and partially for Satan, you have to be submitted to God’s written Word. Victory belongs to you as a child of God, and so does adversity. Read God’s Word, study His Word, submit to His Word. Place your faith in God and His Word, and fight with His Word.
