Armed With His Spirit

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven – Luke 10:19.

The days that we’re living in will be historical, it will be a year we will never forget. Many lost their lives, many suffered because of the pandemic. Many hearts has been broken. Family and friends were no longer able to come in contact with one another, no hugs or kisses. Snow in states that usually don’t have snow. Murder is on a rampage, homelessness, people losing their business and homes, but with all this going on, there is still hope, and our hope is in Jesus Christ!

Every professing Christian should be armed with the Spirit of God and this only comes by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer. Every believer has not been baptized with the Holy Spirit although they believe. The Holy Spirit is a gift that is giving to those who will accept it by faith as well as submitted to God’s written Word. We can’t be conformed to this world and live according to God’s Word (Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ he hath both the Father and the Son – 2nd John V.9). Sanctification is not like Burger King, we can have it our way, it is God’s way or no way!

Sanctification is a way life for those who are truly Christians, sanctification means we are dedicated to God and we live our lives according to His standards and ordinances. The Holy Spirit and God the Father are active in the sanctification of Christians. As children of God our behavior and character should be that of the Father this is when the Fruit of the Spirit is being manifested in our lives love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

We can’t worship God through our intellect, He’s looking for worshipers who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth (God is a Spirit; and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth – John 4:24). When we accept salvation with our hearts and not our emotions, the Spirit of God comes into our beings and began to create us into the image of Him and His Son. We no longer have the old nature of sin, but our spirit will be engulfed in His Spirit. In this faith walk, we will face many challenges that will challenge our faith. Christians aren’t exempt from heartache and pain, sickness, or diseases. No matter what comes into our lives we must have faith in God. God will either heal us or He will summon us to come home, either way, the Christian will have the victory.

We are in a spiritual battle, Satan is throwing his darts, he’s seeking who he can destroy, whose faith he can make waver or lose faith completely. Our faith must be in God and not what we see, hear or feel. Stay connected with God through prayer and fasting. Feasting on His Word, sitting in His presence. Listening to broadcasts that will enhance your faith and not take from it. Music that will bring you into worship and praises. Accept the gift that God is willing to give to every Christian that desires to have it (If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him – Luke 11:13?

It is through the Holy Spirit living within our being that will enable us to fight the good fight of faith. It’s through His Spirit that will enable us to fight against demonic angels and win. Submit to God and His Word, love Him with all your heart and soul. Be armed with His Spirit living within your being! Every believer has been given a portion of His Spirit, but there is also the baptizing of the Holy Spirit. This is the Promise that Jesus had instructed His disciples to go down to Jerusalem and wait on the Promise. His disciples believed, but they needed the empowerment the Holy Spirit would give them to live in this world and conquer sin.

The Holy Spirit is for everyone that believes on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father is willing to give it to anyone that is willing to accept Him. Ask in faith and receive Him in faith!
