He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say it will be fair weather for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky, but can ye not discern the signs of the times? – Matthew 16:2-3.

In the year 2021, there were 20 disasters that killed 688 people, this does not include those that died of COVID-19. There were tropical cyclones, tornadoes, flooding, droughts, heatwaves. Winter storms, wildfires, and it was because of climate change according to scientists of other notable professionals.

The Pharisees and Sadducees requested that Jesus would show them a sign from heaven, this would be an outward miraculous manifestation. Rather than showing them a sign from heaven, Jesus points them to the sign of the times, eschatologically related to the sky and His second coming.

Believers await the second coming of Jesus while non-believers don’t believe in Jesus nor His second coming. The second coming of Jesus will be a blessing to those that believe and the wrath of God on those that didn’t accept His salvation.

As believers, we need to live according to the instructions of the Bible, and not choose different Scriptures we will adhere to and dismiss other Scriptures, this will cause one to be as a non-believer. We do not want Jesus to say to us depart from Me, I never knew you. Jesus wants our faith to be as children (And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven – Matthew 18:3).

As children represent a new convert or young believer, therefore, the basis of true Christian fellowship is established in Christ Himself, communing to the Father by our belief in His Son. Many profess to be Christians, but their lifestyle does not reflect the behavior or character of a Christian.

It is not God’s desire for anyone to perish, but God permits non-believes to perish in his unbelief. He does not sentence non-believers to such condemnation against his will. Therefore, He sent His Son to redeem man to God through Jesus’ death and resurrection. God gives everyone a free will to accept salvation through His Son, but those that choose to not accept His salvation will go through the wrath of God after Jesus’ second coming.

The disasters are a sign of the return of Jesus, no one knows exactly when He will return, but as believers, we need to find ourselves rooted and grounded in God and His Word. There will be no half-stepping, those that associate themselves in the actions of the world will be known as carnal Christians and will suffer the wrath of God.

Jesus told the disciples those that will do the will of the Father will be His true kindred (For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother and sister, and mother – Matthew 12:50). The will of the Father is to live according to His instructions in His manual script for the believer is the Bible.

There will be a time when Jesus will return for His church, and as a believer, we must be ready to go back with Him. People that don’t believe will not stop His return for His church. We must worshiper God in Spirit and in truth (God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him, must worship Him in spirit and in truth – John 4:24). Spirit is the opposite of what is material and earthly, worship is a matter of the heart. Truth is what is in harmony with the nature and will of God. It is the opposite of all that is false.

We’re taught about climate change when in reality it is the signs of Jesus’ return (And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars, and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring. Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven will be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory -Luke 21:25-27). Nations are coming against nations as the Bible Prophecy has indicated. Parents are killing their children, children killing their parents, people are killing one another because of hatred. All this is Bible prophecy.

Everyone will have to stand before Jesus whether they are a believer or non-believer (Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man – Luke 21:36).

As professing Christians, present your body as a living sacrifice to God, submitting to His instructions. Loving God and His people. Read His written instructions to have knowledge of what is expected of you as a Christian. Pray, fast, read and study God’s Word and submit yourselves to His Word. When Christ returns you will be ready for His coming (And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be – Revelation 22:12). Yes, there is climate change because the earth is preparing for the return of Jesus!
