Secret Place

Psalm 91 – He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Those who live a life of communion with God are constantly safe under His protection, therefore one can have a peace of mind in any given situation or circumstance.  Communication with God on a daily basis is where we abide in prayer and praise indicating we’re in a dwelling place with God. One that prays regularly doesn’t fear, because their faith has been built up in God through prayer. As we begin to seek God in prayer, and we pray until we get into the spirit, God will begin to show and tell you things before it happens. God will begin to reveal things that were hidden in the natural, but He will reveal it in the spirit. We as Christians must believe that God is Greater than anything or anyone that can disturb our peace. God has promised us in His Word, that He will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him. This does not mean you don’t face reality, but you don’t let  the reality of the circumstance be greater than God.

God knows your beginning and He knows your ending and what goes on in between. When God used Moses to deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt, God knew they had to go through the Red Sea to get to dry land and He knew how He was going to get them to dry land. When God informed the children of Israel He had given them a land flowing with milk and honey, God knew they were going to have adversaries to try to stop them from receiving the land He had promised them. Sometimes God will allow us to get into situations where we have to fight not by words or deeds, but through prayer, fasting and speaking the Word of God to the situation. Too many times as children of God we want God to do everything, but there are times, we have to speak up and know that God will back us up. Those that bend their knees before God, can stand before anyone!

If we’re going to fear anyone, let it be God! Every trial or tribulation we go through, God already knows what the outcome will be. Some are fearing they will lose their job, but have forgotten it was God that allowed their employer to hire them in the first place. Just as God opened that door of opportunity, He will open another one, when you place your trust in God and not the job.

Fear is false evidence appearing to be real. God has not given us the spirit of fear; fear comes from Satan, not God. Fear comes when we haven’t placed our confidence in God, but we have placed our faith and trust in the circumstance. When we allow God to abide in us and us in Him, He’s safer than any alarm system or attack dog. His angels are surrounding us daily everywhere we go, standing before those we confront and fighting those who would harm us.

Jesus told His disciples then and now “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Whatever your need may be, God has promised through His Word through the  writing of Apostle Paul, that God would supply every one of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Saints, God’s Word will not return to Him void. God takes care of His children, not only will God supply the need, but God will go as far as to give us our heart’s desire according to His Word (Psalm 37:4 – Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart). We delight ourselves in having a grateful heart for the things God has already done for us and in expectation of the things we have asked of  Him knowing that He’s going to do it because He said (John 15:7 – If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

If we really have the Spirit of the living God indwelling our human bodies, we will not be asking for things that are out of His will but will be asking according to the Word of God which is His will. God wants His best for us, and we have to learn how to accept the things God wants us to have and decline the things God does not want us to have. Read the Word of God, and you will see what His desire is for you. God doesn’t want us to be afraid of anything or anyone when you have God as your Father; He will protect and provide for you. He will give you peace when everyone around you has lost their peace. He will give joy when you should be sad.

As saints of God, take God out of the box and allow Him to be the God that He is! He’s greater than poverty, greater, than sickness, greater than any sin that may have you bound, greater than what’s going on with your children or marriage. When you get in the secret place with God, you will not allow circumstances or situations to be greater than the God you serve! A secret place is a place where we go to meet God daily; this place is where we have made our altar to meet God whether it’s in prayer, meditating on His Word, reading His Word or sitting in His presence quiet. Without the secret place, Christians will be weak, carnal and afraid. Destinate a place and time where you can meet with the God you say you serve!

Never allow Satan to influence you that you don’t have the time to pray, make time, we make time for everything else, place God on your list of do’s. God wants to meet with you, will you make time for Him?
