Three Things God Cannot Do

God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good  (Numbers 23:19). Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:9). But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).

There are three things God cannot do: He cannot lie,  He will not change, and He will not allow sinners into heaven. The Bible is God’s spoken Word to the believer, it’s our responsibility to search the Scriptures,  learn them and apply them.

Balak, king of Moab requested the prophet Balaam to curse Jacob and the children of Israel, but the Lord instructed Balaam to return to the king and inform him, what God had spoken over the children of Israel couldn’t be reversed.  In other words what God had promised the children of Israel would come to pass. The God we serve is a promise-keeping God, He will never tell you, He will give you something and then don’t do it because it would make Him a liar, and He cannot lie.  Every believer that have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord have become the spiritual Israel.  Just as the prophet Balaam couldn’t curse the children of Israel, no one can place a curse on the spiritual Israel unless they accept the curse rather than rejecting the curse. When you became a born-again Christian every curse that was upon your life has been destroyed by the shedding of the blood Jesus for your sins. You’re no longer under a generational curse.

The same spirits that were tormenting your descendants will torment you if you don’t recognize what the blood of Jesus has done for you.  Generational curses are actually evil spirits that torment one generation to the next until someone accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, and once you have accepted Jesus, His protection surrounds you and your family as you commit yourself to serving Him according to His Word.  The Spirit of God that lives within every born-again Christian empowers the believer to take authority over Satan, his host and his followers that would try to torment or speak curses over the believer. The purpose of the shedding of the blood of Jesus was to reconcile us back to the Father and to set us free in every area of our life and being where we were held captive.

People change, but Jesus never changes.  Jesus love for every person is unconditional no matter if they reject Him as the Son of God, and the Savior of mankind.  Jesus will love us if we’re living according to God’s instruction or if we’re living opposite of Biblical instructions, but when we sin against the Father, we sin against Him.  His instructions for our sins is to repent and to turn from our sins and live according to the Bible.  His love for us doesn’t stop us from entering into hell if we continue to live a sinful life.  Sin, in essence, is the failure or refusal of human beings to live the life intended for them by God their Creator.  We can find God’s desire for our lives through reading and studying the Bible. When we reject His Word, we’re rejecting Him.

Sin will not be allowed into heaven. If we’re practicing sin by refusing to get knowledge of God’s Word and applying it to our lives, then we’re choosing to send ourselves to Hell by refusing to live according to God’s instructions. Jesus came as Savior to all mankind, but when He returns, He will be coming to take vengeance upon those who rejected His Father’s instructions. We can confess we’re  Christians, but if our life is not lining up with the Word of God, we will be seen as the adversaries of God and not the children of God. Take time to pray, read and study the Word of God, apply it to your life daily, ask God to help you to submit to His Word.  God cannot lie, He will not change and He will not allow those who are practicing sin to enter into heaven.
