Narrow Is The Path

Enter ye in at the strait gate for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it – Matthew 7:13-14.

A gate can be an entrance or exit; Jesus speaks about two gates; one is broad, leading to destruction. This is the gate the majority of the world is entering; it has no guidelines, no restrictions, and the other one is narrow, with restrictions, but it’s the gate that will lead to eternal life with the Father.

Many Christians are falling away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ to various doctrines leading them to eternal separation from the Father. Secular music and lyrics are being mingled with Christian music. Get-rich preaching is growing, and Christians are flocking to their sermons.

COVID-19 shut down churches, and some members have not returned to the church; they’re watching service on the internet. The Bible instructs Christians not to forsake themselves from the assembling of the church (Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching – Hebrews 10:25). The body of Christ is the church, the church is a body interacting with one another.

Christians attend church for more than to listen to songs and music; it’s a place where we learn how to live a Christian lifestyle that will be acceptable to God. Many professing Christians live as they did before they received salvation; they can do that because they didn’t receive salvation. When salvation is accepted from the heart, there will be a change in the person’s lifestyle because the Spirit of Christ has entered their heart.

Preachers and deacons are dating women in the church; some are married and have changed from dating to adultery. Some are not only dating women but men as well. The Word preached can’t be effective if the messenger lives a double life.

When you listen to different ministries on television or the internet, sanctification is no longer in the message; holiness and the consequences of sin are not mentioned, so people live according to what they think is Christianity.

Many churches have become social clubs, with some its fashion shows. Look good outside, and the heart and spirit are full of darkness. Attending church but sliding into hell. The Bible is for the Christian, not the non-believer. It’s the Christian guidebook for preparing themselves to meet the Father and bypass hell.

Everyone says Jesus will not enter heaven; because one has a membership does not mean he or she will enter heaven; the Bible says one must be born-again of the Spirit. The book must be read to follow it. The Word must be taught for one to know it.

The spirit of the antichrist is increasing; children are being taught games pertaining to witchcraft and sorcery, and different foods have placed names on their packaging, such as voodo. Different movies portray Satan and demons.

Christians are living and looking at everything as the non-believer; Jesus has given Christians a guidebook to live by, and without adhering to the manual, professing Christians will be hellbound as the non-believer. Whichever one comes first, Jesus, the Rapture, or death, Christians must be ready.

We need to stop living like sin is in control when God is in control when we allow Him to control our lives. If we don’t deal with sin in our lives, it will destroy us. Sadly, many professing Christians don’t believe in Satan or demonic spirits, and these are the spirits leading them to the broad gate, the gate of destruction.

Take the time to read and study God’s Word to see whether you live according to its instructions. Just because you don’t know it, don’t think you will be dismissed from the wrath of God, because He has given you the instructions to bypass hell. It’s the Christian responsibility to read the manual.
