One Blood

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation – Acts 17:26.

God sovereignly created one man, Adam. As Adam’s descendants multiplied and formed nations, God designed their course. God has placed within each one of us the yearning to worship, but because of the lust of our flesh (physical desire), the lust of the eyes (personal desires), and pride of life (self-interest), we don’t seek Him.

We don’t have to pray or worship in a certain place or position. We can have fellowship with Him at any time or anywhere when we welcome Him to enter. In fact, every day, we depend upon Him for our life and breath, whether we know it or not. We must keep in close contact with the Person with our life in His hand.

We originated from one man, Adam, thus giving us the same blood that was in Adam. Although many nations descended from Adam, they all were made with one blood. We also were created to serve one God.  The God of creation is the God of all nations, but all nations do not serve Him; many have created idol worship rather than God.

When God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt, He promised them a Promise Land; He also instructed them not to serve the gods of the surrounding nations (And I will set thy bounds [boundaries] from the Red Sea even unto the sea of the Philistines and from the desert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands; and thou shalt drive them out before thee. Thou shalt make no covenant [treaty] with them, nor with their gods. They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for it thou serve their gods; it will surely be a snare unto thee – Exodus 23:31-33).

Although the Philistines were created with the same blood as Adam and were created by the same God as Adam, they didn’t serve the same God. Israel served and worshiped God, and the Philistines served the god Dagon, Ashtoreth, and Beelzebub.

Different nations served different gods, although they were created by the same God, which is why they were instructed not to serve the gods of the other nations. The instructions haven’t changed. As professing Christians, we can’t serve the god of this world or the things it has to offer. Just as the nations set up their own god, so have the people of today chosen who they will serve (Howbeit every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities where they dwelt – 2nd Kings 17:29). There is no other way to get to God or His kingdom, but through obedience to the written Word of God, this is why it is so important to read the Word of God, to know the Word of God. (For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God –   1st Peter 4:17).

It’s amazing how we can follow the instructions of our employer; we will follow those that deny God, what they say, we will accept and dismiss the written Word of God. Discrimination and hatred come from the heart, and the reason for this is that people have turned away from God; they serve themselves and the god of this world.

We all have the same blood and were created by one God. The God that can speak life and death, the God that reigns forever. The God that created the universe, the God that makes the impossible possible. The God that has the power to heal and deliver. The God that everyone will stand before that rejected Him and His Son. Rather one believes in God or not does not take from Him. He lives and reigns in heaven and in the hearts of the people who have submitted to His written Word.

His blood runs through our veins, He’s our Creator, and no other god is beside Him. There are many nations, but one blood for all of them. When we hate or discriminate against others, we come against ourselves; the same blood in them is in us. The same God that created them created us. The same God they will have to answer to, we will have to answer to. The sworn Word of God is that every knee will bow; those that didn’t believe will have to bend the knee!

Hatred and discrimination come from Satan; those who choose to hate and discriminate are the children of Satan. The written Word of God whoever we serve, we are his servant (Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servant to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness – Romans 6:16. No one can love God and hate someone, take the time read the Word of God, submit to His written Word, allow God’s love to flow through you to everyone, we are of one blood.
