God’s Word

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it – Isaiah 55:11.

God, who inspired the Scriptures has throughout the years protected His Word from the attacks of evil men so as to preserve its content and existence. While the original manuscripts have long since disappeared, ancient copies and quotations from early Christian leaders demonstrate the preservation of Scripture.

For years people have used the excuse to not read the Bible or adhere to it by saying it was written by men. Yes, it was written by men, but it was inspired by God, given to godly men to write as the Spirit of God gave them. This was supernatural guidance of the writers of Scripture by the Spirit of God so that what they wrote was the divine Word of God transcribed accurately, reliably, and without error in the original manuscripts. Through translation, some of the original text is missing, but it’s enough in Scripture if a person wants to be saved they can be through God’s written Word, the Scriptures of the Bible. God knew through translations that some of the original text would be omitted, not intentional.

Scripture is God’s written Word and if we adhere to it we will have fellowship and relationship with our heavenly Father. God loves everyone, He has no respect for people. His love is unconditional, but He does not love the sin; this is why we have been given Scriptures to live by (All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished [equipped] unto all good works – 2nd Timothy 3:16-17). Because of misconceptions of the Bible, many live double-styled life. They want to live according to the world’s desires, and yet worship God: this is why we have been instructed to worship God in spirit and in truth.

When one worships God in spirit and in truth they no longer have a desire to do things that the non-believer do. Their spirit has been changed to desire the things of God. His Spirit is living within their spirit creating them more in the image of Himself and His Son. The Fruit of the Spirit is being manifested through them; love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. They desire to please the Father, just as the Son’s desire was to please the Father. We please the Father by living according to His Word, His instructions for His people.

The Scriptures not only instruct one how to please the Father, but it also instructs the believer how to conquer the influence of sin, how to get your prayers answered. How to fight the good fight of faith, love those that are unloveable. There is nothing happening in the world that God is not aware of, nothing takes Him by surprise. It is not God’s desire for anyone to perish, that is why He sent His Son into the world to reconcile them to the Father. God does not make anyone believe in Him neither does He save those that don’t want to be saved from the wrath that is going to come upon the earth.

To experience true salvation, nothing can be compared to it. Communicating with the Father, feeling His presence, feeling His love. Receiving godly wisdom and knowledge, knowing that you have twenty-four hours of protection. Being notified by God when something is about to happen and gives you a way of escape. Death does not scare you because you know that you’re leaving the world of the dead to enter into the world of the living. God’s Word changes the individual when they have faith to believe. Faith is what moves God on the Christian’s behalf, although they have not seen Him, they have heard and felt His presence. They have seen the hand of God moving on their behalf.

Why is it that people can believe in self-help books, but they can’t believe the Word of God? Satan has blinded them with influence, and Satan will lead them to destruction with him, and all the angels that were cast out of heaven to follow Satan. There are blessings in the Bible for those that believe, and the wrath of God for those that reject, and deny Him and His Son. God gave His people a book to read and study to get to know Him and to beware of what belongs to them as children of God and followers of Christ.

Get to know God’s Word, and you will get to know God by following His instructions. Allow His Word to be embedded in your heart, memory, and soul then will you be changed daily to the image of the Father and Son. His Word is true, and it will manifest in your life when you submit your life to Him and His Word.
