One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism

There is one body and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism – Ephesians 4:4-5.

This oneness among Christians refers to having one body. The one body of Christ, the Christian church. One Spirit, the same Holy Spirit who imparts the same spiritual life to all believers. One hope, all Christians share the same future and are headed toward the same heavenly destination.

False teachers are teaching there are many ways to God or many ways to serve Him, which is contradictory to the doctrine of Jesus Christ. There are many false Christ, just as Jesus spoke to His disciples thousands of years ago.

Christians have been warned there would be false Christs and false prophets who teach false doctrines. The Bible states its doctrine of devils (Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils – 1st Timothy 4:1). Satan is just as subtle today as he was in the garden of Eden.

Satan is not omnipresent as God, so he sends his co-host to different nations, communities, churches, and homes to uproot the truth of God’s Word. One can easily be misled if one is not prayerful and consistent in reading and studying the Word of God.

Satan has ministers just like God has ministers (And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore, it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works – 2nd Corinthians 11:14-15). Because many people who profess to be Christians will not pray or read God’s Word, Satan and his ministers seek those they can turn from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If one tries to receive salvation or serve God without receiving saving from Jesus, their religion is in vain. There is no other name one can be saved by other than the name of Jesus (Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved – Acts 4:12). Buddha, Confucius, Morman, Jehovah Witness and any all other religion is not valid to receive salvation because they are trying to receive it other than receiving it by Jesus Christ.

One can’t serve God and reject Jesus (Let that, therefore, abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father – 1st John 2:24). God and Jesus can’t be separated; both God and Jesus are self-existence; God didn’t create Jesus. When they became separable is when Jesus took on the world’s sins.

Man didn’t die for the world’s sins; if they did, they couldn’t reconcile the sinner to God and make them righteous; Jesus did through His death, burial, and resurrection. Jesus laid down His life for our life to be reconciled to the Father. To rely on any other source is anti-Christ.

One Lord, all submit to the same divine ruler, Jesus. One faith, all believers have placed the same trust in Christ for salvation. One baptism is one baptism of the Holy Spirit, but many refillings. Jesus is the only One who can change man’s heart and spirit. When one truly comes in contact with Him and submits their heart, He comes into their heart and begins to uproot everything contrary to the Word of God when we allow Him. Sometimes the process is painful, so rather than submitting to the process, people turn to religion.

Ask God to forgive you and save you through His Son if you’re not saved. God doesn’t want anyone to perish; He gave His Son a living sacrifice to die for the world’s sins. Jesus didn’t die so we could continue to practice sin. What is sin? Read the Word of God; it will give you the definition of sin. Salvation comes from Jesus, the Son of God. One Lord, One faith, One baptism.
