By His Spirit

For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to earth to reconcile men back to the Father. There was no other way we could be reconciled to God but through the shedding of the blood of Jesus. We can come to Jesus just as we are and allow Him to mold us and shape us into the image of God.

We cannot save ourselves, nor can we deliver or heal ourselves. Jesus died for each of us; God created all men no matter what’s their nationality. The Father must draw us to Jesus (No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day – John 6:44). When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, believing in our hearts and confess it with our mouths we will be saved (That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation – Romans 10:9-10).

We cannot be saved by no other name but by the name of Jesus. Attending church will not save us; our good works will not save us. Although we may live by good morals, it cannot save us. Baptism doesn’t save us; we must believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Although the Father and the Son love us, we cannot continue to live a lifestyle that’s contrary to what God has given us to live by.

We cannot live according to the Word of God unless the Spirit of the Living God is living within us; that’s why the Bible instructs us that we must be born-again of the Spirit of God – (Jesus answered Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5-6).

We cannot serve God in Spirit and in truth unless the Spirit of God engulfs our human spirit ( God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). When we surrender our hearts to Him completely, the Father and the Son will come in and live in our mortal bodies (Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep my Words: and my Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him (John 14:23).

No one can live according to God’s Word unless they have the Holy Spirit that enables the believer to live according to God’s instructions. He gave us a manual to follow, then Jesus instructed the believer to ask for the Holy Spirit (If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him – Luke 11:13)?   We can’t live by the Spirit if the Spirit isn’t indwelling our spirit.  Some believe when we receive salvation; we also receive the Holy Spirit. If that were not true, Jesus never would have instructed the believer to ask for the Holy Spirit. He was teaching the believers, not the non-believer. The Bible is the instruction manual for those who accept Jesus as Savior and Lord.

Take time to read and study the Bible, false teaching and doctrine have led many to cults, leading many into bondage when Jesus came to set us free from every form of bondage. Jesus did not die for the sins of the world for them to continue in sin. Those who have been baptized in the Spirit have been empowered to live a godly lifestyle.

Know who you are in Christ. His Word gives us instructions of who we are in Him and what He expects us to walk and live as sons and daughters of God.
