Read And Apply Instructions

Instructions are for the benefit of the person who reads them and applies what they have read. Many professing Christians will not take the time to read and study the Bible; this is just as important as breathing!

Believe it or not, the Bible was not created to collect dust or to be used as a lucky charm when we need deliverance. Before the Bible, godly men wrote what God instructed them in books and scrolls (Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord, which He had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book – Jeremiah 36:4). These instructions were placed for men and women of God would know what was required of them.

Attending church and never taking the time to read and study the Word of God is why there are so many misled professing Christians. One can’t apply the instructions if they are unaware of them. Not knowing can cause one to end up in hell because they have done everything except carry out the instructions of the written Word. The prophet Isaiah instructed the people to read the book of the Lord (Seek ye out the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth, it hath commanded, and His Spirit it hath gathered them – Isaiah 34:16).

Every Christian’s responsibility is to pray, read, and study the Word of God and apply the instructions. One is responsible for reading the organization’s bylaws and mission statement if employed. You will read them as an employee because this is something required of every employee if they want to keep their positions with the organization. Being with an organization is temporal, but heaven and hell are for eternity. You would think one would want to learn what is required to bypass hell.

Reading and studying the Bible is just as important as eating to keep your body healthy and strong. Having a strong and healthy body and your soul and spirit are undernourished causes one to be a carnal Christian. Rather than living by the Word of God, one will live by what one thinks is right. If the Word of God has not transformed the heart and mind, they will live as nonbelievers, which happens when one does not read and study the Bible and apply the instructions.

Many professing Christians think that accepting salvation and having their name written in the Church membership book will get them to heaven, but the Bible says something totally different (Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world – James 1:27). Many of God’s people, talk like the world, dress like the world, and their behavior is more of the world than their Father. They have been completely spotted by the world and its actions and behavior.

This is why the Bible instructs Christians to come out from the thinking and actions of the world (Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing, and I will receive you – 2nd Corinthians 6:17). God’s people are to be a holy people that serves a holy God (But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light – 1st Peter 2:9). Christians are people called and chosen by God, and they suppose to live according to His written instructions.

Prayer and reading God’s Word are the armor of the Christians. It gives instructions in order to keep the blessings and the protection of God with them. When we’re on Satan’s territory, we lose our protection. Christians shouldn’t be attending nightclubs and secular concerts. If they think Jesus is there, they all together have been misinformed.

Many look at movies that are full of profanity and unleashed sexual acts, and they think there is nothing wrong with what they are looking at. No, the Bible does not instruct Christians not to look at television, but because the Spirit of God is within the believer, He will guide them in what to watch and what not to watch; this is when they submit themselves to the Spirit of God.

The Spirit of God will unction Christians when they are wrong, but if they continue to reject it, He will no longer unction them leaving them to do whatever they want because they have rejected what is right. No, it will not be an audible voice, but you will know within your spirit what you’re saying or doing is not aligning with God’s Word.

Heaven is real, and so is Hell, and God has given everyone a choice of where they want to spend eternity. Your destination is not you attending a church but being a doer of the Word of God and not just a hearer (But be ye doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving your ownselves – James 1:22. When Christians partake of the actions of the world they are called adulterers and adulteresses (Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be friend of the world is the enemy of God – James 4:4.

If we are an enemy of God, then there is no way we will be entering heaven! This is why taking the time to read and study the Bible is so important. Don’t just assume. Assuming can lead you straight to Hell. God holds every Christian responsible for learning and applying His instructions. Just because you don’t know them will not keep you from entering Hell.

God loves everyone, no matter what they have done or are doing. It does not take away His unconditional love for them. But He will hold everyone responsible for their actions. If you don’t know the Word of God, how would you know whether or not you are sinning? Knowing the Word of God and applying it to our heart will cause us to be led by the Spirit of God and not our emotions (Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin – James 4:17. According to the Word of God, the wages of sin is death.

Sadly, there is little teaching on prayer, fasting, reading, and studying the Bible. Preaching is good, it will get us out of the world, but teaching will keep the world from being in us. Each of us has an appointed time when death will knock on our door or Jesus will return for His church. Whichever one comes, we, as Christians, must be ready. There is no time for guessing and assuming; if the Spirit of the Living God is not residing in you and you’re still living as you did before accepting salvation, your religion is in vain.

When we draw close to God through prayer, fasting, reading, and studying His Word, He will fellowship with us. We will feel His presence and hear His voice when He’s speaking to us. Many Christians haven’t heard His voice or felt His presence; something is wrong with that!

Just like we plan and take time for everything else, plan and take time to spend with God by reading or studying His Word. If you’re not reading or studying His Word, you’re most likely not praying until trouble comes. God does not want us to use Him as Santa Clause; we only come before Him when we ask Him to give us something.

God loves you, but He wants you to follow His written instructions. When living according to the Word of God, we agree with His Word; when we live a sinful life, we agree with sin (Can two walk together, except they be agreed – Amos 3:3? As a Christian, know what is required of you; the requirement to enter heaven is accepting salvation and applying His Word to your lifestyle.

Instructions are to be applied to those who read the instructions.
