Warning

The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Isaiah 24:5.

Not only the people suffered from their sins, but even the land also suffered from bad crops and crime. Today we see the results of sin in our own land, pollution, crime, and poverty. Sin affects every aspect of society so extensively that even those faithful to God suffer.

We can’t blame God for these conditions because human sin has brought them about. The more believers renounce sin and share God’s Word with others, the more we slow down our society’s deterioration.

This section of Isaiah’s prophecies is often called the “Little Apocalypse” because it looks beyond the immediate judgment of Israel’s Gentile neighbors to the final judgments of the Tribulation period and the ushering in of the Messianic kingdom. This chapter presents universal judgments followed by universal blessings. It is sin that brings these calamities upon the earth. The earth is made empty and fades away, bringing it back to its original state of being void prior to God speaking life to it.

The people have transgressed the laws of their creation, and their obligation to the God of nature, they have passed the laws, in the commission of sins, and have passed the ordinance, in the omission of duty. They have broken the everlasting covenant, which is the perpetual bond and will be to those that keep it a perpetual blessing.

These judgments shall humble men’s pride, carnal joy is a noisy thing but the noise of it will soon be at an end, and the end of it is heaviness. God doesn’t want any of this to happen to His people, but because of disobedience and carnality in order to resume mankind back to its original state of holiness and godliness as with an earthly father who disciplines his children, so will this be with our Heavenly Father.

God has given us His written Word; He has given us ministers such as apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers to equip the body of Christ. He’s also has given lay people to minister to the unsaved or carnal minded to instruct them in the ways of the Lord, but many refuse because they desire to live according to their wills rather than the will of God.

God’s will is His Word, and His Word is His will, just as God used Isaiah to warn His people, God has been warning His people through His ministers and His written Word. There is no excuse for not knowing God’s will in order to escape what’s coming.

We have heard for years that Jesus was coming; many no longer believe and live according to their will and desires. Take time to read and study the Word of God, get to know what He requires of you as a believer. Apply the Word of God to your life, don’t just get knowledge of the Bible and don’t apply it.

We’re near or within the book of Revelation now! Look at what’s going on around your city, community, and the world. God hasn’t forsaken His people, but His people have forsaken Him. When sin is recognized as right and right is wrong; the prophecy of the Prophet Isaiah is being fulfilled (Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter – Isaiah 5:20)! It is not God’s desire for any to perish, but He has given everyone a way of escape through His Son.

We can’t just accept salvation and don’t apply the instructions that come with salvation, read the Word of God for yourself, and see what the instructions are to receive eternal life with the Father. Then you can choose where you want to spend eternity! There is a heaven and a hell, and God has graced everyone to receive or reject His instructions.

Some Christians aren’t seeking God as they once were; many churches have closed, some because of financial issues, and others because they have given up and have lost their faith. Sadly, to say the cult doors have not closed; they still instruct their congregants on the opposite of God’s Word. The Bible has been around for centuries; many have tried to destroy its capabilities and have failed.

Some Christians have left the faith in Jesus and are believing another doctrine, a doctrine where they can live as they were without having to live by the guidelines of the instructions of the Father (Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrine of devils – 1st Timothy 4:1).

Scriptures were inspired by God; inspiration refers to the supernatural guidance of the writer of Scripture by the Spirit of God so that what they wrote was the divine Word of God. They were transcribed accurately, reliably, and without error in the original manuscripts. Because the Scriptures have been translated so many times, some of the Scriptures have been dismissed, and other translation has added what was not in the original text. I would advise reading the King James version to be on the safe side.

Whether one believes or is a non-believer, it has not and will not stop the fulfilling of Scripture. Jesus will be returning whether we are ready or not, be prepared for His return.
