Stay Connected To God

But God said to him, you fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared? So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God (Luke 12:20 -New American Standard Bible).

Jesus’ instructions to  His disciples then and now is wherever our treasure is, that is where our hearts will be. Beware of where your heart is, there is a space in our hearts reserved for God, and Him only; when we place people and things in His reserved area, we have made them idols and gods. God has instructed His people to have no other god before Him. How can a Christian connect with the Father when he or she doesn’t have time for prayer? We have time to do everything concerning natural things, but when it comes to spiritual things, we don’t make the time. To be a successful Christians, we must spend time in prayer,; we should have daily prayer, a time set aside to spend in God’s presence. We need to study the Bible and not just read it, we need days we set aside to fast, to bring our flesh under subjection.

If we spend as much time seeking to please God as we do in seeking to make more money, more education, larger houses, and so forth, the body of Christ would be more powerful and would be in unity, and the power of God would be moving in us and through us. God just doesn’t allow His Spirit to rest upon us without sacrificing.

We have conferences after conferences to build the body of Christ up, but after the conference, there hasn’t really been a spiritual change corporately or individually. It’s going to take more than a conference for us to begin to walk in the manifestation of the power of God. Jesus is on His way back, and the body of Christ needs to get busy winning souls.

There are people who will never enter a church unless someone minister and guide them to one. If we’re always thinking about getting more for us and not using what has already been poured into us, Sunday after Sunday, weekday service, another conference isn’t going to get the job done.

We are the sons of God, and we should be walking epistles, read by men. There is power in God we have not touched, and we cannot get it without a commitment to prayer, fasting, reading and studying the Bible and living according to the Bible instructions. We should be focusing on how to win a soul, praying for God to manifest Himself through us to a dying world.

Each of us is accountable for what we do as Christians, are we focusing on the world and how to get more stuff, or are we preparing ourselves to be vessels, God can use anytime, anywhere and any place? Are we preparing ourselves so the anointing can rest in our lives to bless others or are we too busy doing everything that points to the world and nothing for God!

The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives within us. The same Spirit that anointed the apostles is the same Spirit that will anoint us today when we seek Him as they did. The world is coming to an end sooner than we think, and we need to be winning as many souls as we can to the kingdom of God.

There are many agnostics and atheists but just because they don’t believe doesn’t make God any less or not exist.  Satan is the god of this world, he controls what’s going on here, but God has given the believer a portion of His Spirit to dominate what’s happening in the world.

Power comes from the Holy Spirit that dwells within us when we yield ourselves to Him. It takes the sacrifice of fasting, reading and studying the Bible and prayer to stay connected to God. When we stay connected with Him, He empowers the believer to conquer through His Spirit.  Yes, Satan has power, but his power comes from God before rebelling against him. Satan must come subject to the Spirit of God that dwells in you, Satan is subject to the Word of God. Our connection to God is what causes us to conquer.

Money, cars, and homes we will leave to someone else to enjoy when we depart from this world, we can’t take anything with us. When we depart, we will either be going to heaven or hell. Have you decided where your resting place will be? As you live daily, you’re preparing yourself for your destination. There will be a non-stop, no resting place, and once you enter, there will not be an exist; heaven or hell.
