The God of All Nations

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul – Genesis 2:7.

Initially, the world was without form and void, indicating no general structure, emptiness, or life. God took nothing and spoke life; on the first day, the light was created; on the second day, the firmament; on the third day, the seas, land, and vegetation; on the fourth day, the sun, moon, and stars.

On the fifth day, He created the sea and the animals that live in the sea. On the sixth day, God created the earth’s animals and man, whom He called Adam.  When Adam was created, he did not have a soul but became a soul after God breathed the breath of life into him.

Every creature God created had a mate except for Adam. God said a man shouldn’t be alone, so God created a wife for Adam. Although both were called Adam in the Garden of Eden, God distinguished between the male and female.

Adam called his wife Eve ( And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living – Genesis 3:20). God made man produce the seed, and the woman was to carry the seed to reproduce life. A man cannot produce a child without a woman being involved, and neither can a woman produce a child without a man; it has to be a man and a woman to reproduce life; this is what makes the difference between a man and a woman, they have been created to play the part God has created them for. When they go out of the order God created them, then it becomes an abomination, according to God’s Holy Word.

God instructed Adam not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil; if he ate of the tree, he would die (spiritually). Adam must have instructed his wife as God instructed; when the serpent talked to Eve, she told him what God said and added to God’s instructions. Adam and Eve’s disobedience made Satan the god of the world; their disobedience brought in sin. After the fall of Adam and Eve, God placed the east of the garden of Eden a Cherubim and a flaming sword to guard the tree of life.

After Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden, Eve gave birth to Cain and Abel. Cain was jealous of his brother and murdered Abel.  Adam lived a hundred and thirty years and had another son called Seth. Seth had children; ten generations before the birth of Noah. Noah was the second head of the human race after the fall of Adam. Because of the wickedness of mankind, God destroyed everything except for Noah and his family. God instructed Noah to build an ark, and he and his family would be saved from the flood. Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives and Noah’s wife abided in the Ark until after the flood.

After the flood, Noah built an altar and sacrificed every clean beast and fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord. The only other offering mentioned before Noah’s; is when Cain and Abel offered their offerings. God blessed Noah and his sons and instructed them to be fruitful and replenish the earth. Noah’s sons Japheth, Ham, and Shem had children.  Japheth had seven sons, and he was the grandfather of seven grandsons. Ham had four sons and was the grandfather of nine grandsons.

The sons of Noah populated the earth, bringing forth different nations. Ham’s grandsons and sons populated the earth, which produced the Philistines, Canaanites, Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, Hivites, Arkite, Sinite, Arvadite, Zemarite, and the Hamathite.  Shem had nine sons, one grandson, one great-grandson, two great-great-grandsons, and thirteen great-great-great-grandsons.

During this time, people were living to be two hundred years old and older. Nahor, the father of  Terah, lived to be nine hundred and twenty years, and Terah is the father of Abraham.  The nations were divided after the flood, and the language was changed when they tried to build a tower to Heaven (Genesis 11:6 – And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have one language: and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do). V:8 So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city).

The people were one nation and one language, united to build the tower of  Babel. God changed their language, and because they couldn’t understand one another, they stopped building the tower, and each group went into a different country. This was a good example to prove what people can do when they have the same mindset and goals, whether good or evil and what they can accomplish.

Today, there are more than three thousand languages and dialects, and with these different languages and dialects are also different religions that are different from Christianity.  In the beginning, it was God, and in the end, there will be God, and He is the God of the universe of every nation. When the nations rejected God and His ordinance, that’s when the different religions began. When God called Abraham, He called him from a nation serving pagan gods. God instructed Abraham to leave his country, family, and his father’s house, and God would direct him to another land. Abraham’s family practiced idolatry according to Joshua 24:2.

In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  There is no religion or books on religion other than the Bible that actually changes a person’s life. The Bible is the Word of God. He communicated it to humanity through the Scriptures, using human writers, employing their individual personalities and styles to produce divinely authoritative and inerrant writings.

The Bible wasn’t created for one race of people but for all nations; because God created all nations. Moses, the servant of God, taught Israel’s children the laws and ordinances of God. After God delivered the children of Israel from the Egyptians, Moses met God on the mountain; while he was there receiving the Ten Commandments; the children of Israel returned to their old ways, worshiping idols.

While Moses was on the mountain talking to God because he didn’t return when they thought he should have returned, they asked Aaron to make them a golden calf to worship. They knew it wasn’t the golden calf they created who delivered them from the hands of Pharaoh. God turned Moses’ rod into a serpent and ate the serpents of the sorcerers and magicians of Pharaoh. It was God who made the rivers and land of Egypt to blood.

It was God who plagued the Egyptians with frogs, plagued them with lice and flies, and plagued the cattle and gave the Egyptians boils. Plagued the Egyptians with hail, the plague of locusts, and the plague of darkness because Pharaoh didn’t want to let God’s people go from Egypt. No book other than the Bible describes the different events that took place with a living and Holy God. If the Word of God is taken to heart, it’s the only book that can actually change your life spiritually. People can change when they have a mind to do so, but if it’s not in the heart and sustained by the Word of God, it will not last.

After the death of Moses and Joshua,  and those that served God died, the next generation didn’t serve God (And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers, and there arose another generation after them, which knew not the Lord, nor yet the works which He had done for Israel – Judges 2:10).  As long as there was a leader to instruct the Israelites they served God but as soon as the leaders died they returned to pagan worship, they went back to their old way of living. God loved His people. He gave them prophets, judges, and kings to instruct them, and after their death, Israel lived according to what they thought was right (In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes – Judges 21:25).

Of all the different gods the nations serve, there is only one God, the Creator of all nations, who created everything that is breathing. It was God who created mankind, and it is He that has given every living human instruction on how to serve Him (Deuteronomy 5:11-21).  We don’t suppose to serve men, animals, stars, moons, anything, or anyone other than God. There is no other way we can come to God but by believing He is God and Jesus is the Son of God.

Self-Help books will not give you access to God. Committing rituals and attending church does not make you a child of God; the Bible instructs the individual has to be born-again (John 3:5 – Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none f his). Satan, the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who believe not because they reject the Word of God. How can you serve a god that never answers your prayer? How can you read a book that doesn’t change you spiritually or motivate you to search out the Bible to see whether or not it’s true? We cannot serve God by wishful thinking but in spirit. We are spiritual beings and must serve and worship God in spirit and truth. We cannot live according to the world’s standards but by God’s instructions in His holy Word, the Bible.

When you really seek God from your heart, He will answer (Jeremiah 29:13 – and ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart). We are the creation of God, and He is looking for holy people, vessels of honor, to worship Him in spirit and in truth. The only way we can come into the presence of God is through living a holy life which means being separated from the world’s standards, praying, fasting, reading, and studying the Word of God, and applying it to our hearts in our daily walk.

We’re blaming God for how the world is today, but it’s not God; it’s us. We’re not living according to His Word ( If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land 2nd Chronicles 7;14 ). Search the Scriptures, and you will find life. Pray and seek His face, and you will find Him! (And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free – John 8:32).

The only way our lives can be changed to meet God’s qualifications is that His Son takes residence in our hearts. He can’t come in if we reject Him, but if we place our trust in Jesus and yield to Him, He will make a change and give us reconciliation with the Father. To accept salvation is to repent to the Father and receive Jesus by faith. People can make a god out of anything, but when they return to the God of Creation and accept His Son as Savior, their lives can be changed to please the Father because He’s creating the individual in the image of Himself and His Son.

There are many nations, but one God is the Creator of all nations. There is not a god for each nation as some have made it; God is the God of all nations!
