Hell

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it begins at us, what shall the end of them that obey not the gospel of God – 1 Peter 4:17.

Jesus is the only one who has died, resurrected, and communicated with His people. Some have said their father, mother, or a loved one that has died has visited them, but this is not Biblical according to the Bible.

According to the Bible, there have only been two people resurrected from the dead;  Lazarus and Jesus, Jesus resurrected Lazarus other than Jesus and Lazarus, no one else has or will return from the dead to communicate with the living (Luke 16:26, Ecclesiastes 9:5).

Hell is just as real as heaven; if it weren’t so, it wouldn’t be in the Bible.  The prophet Isaiah mentions that hell has enlarged itself; the Apostle Mark states it’s a place where the fire never stops, and the worms never die. It’s a place where no one desires to go.

Countless people don’t believe there is a hell; they live life as though they will live forever without any consequences of their lifestyles. We all have sinned; we were born in sin, but God gave us a way of escape by sending His Son to die for our sins.

God wants us to do more than believe His Son died for our sins; He wants us to grow in grace and holiness growing from glory to glory in His Son, Jesus. Everything we need, God has given us to live by His written instructions if we follow them (According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue – 2nd Peter 1:3).

Knowledge is the keyword, and most people who profess to be Christians don’t have knowledge of God. In order to get the heart of God and His mind, we must fellowship with Him by prayer, fasting, reading and studying His Word, and applying the instructions to our lives daily.

Satan has many thinking because God is love; He will not allow anyone to go to hell. That was the reason why God gave His Son to die for the sins of the world, but He has also given everyone a choice of who they will serve. Either we will serve God or serve Satan.

There are two types of people, the believer and the nonbeliever; the believer should be doing everything they can to have knowledge of God, preparing themselves to one-day enter into eternal life with the Father, whereas the nonbeliever is preparing themselves to live eternal with their father in hell.

Carnal Christians will go to the same place as the nonbeliever because their lifestyle is an abomination to God, meaning it’s something that He hates, not the person, but the actions. Christians should not be practicing sin.

The Bible was written for Christians to follow the instructions, either we will be righteous or unrighteous (Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God – 1st Corinthians 6:9-10). This was not written for nonbelievers but the believer!

Hell is a place the Bible indicates the fearful, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, and liars and all those who reject the Word of God will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death – Revelations 21:8).

It’s our Christian responsibility to pray for those we know that are living in rebellion and disobedient to the Word of God; they can’t pray for themselves unless they have a repentance heart (John 9:31 – Now we know that God heareth not sinners; but if any man be a worshiper of God, and doeth his will, him He heareth). A worshiper is not someone who sings; it’s those who worship Him in spirit and in truth; it’s a lifestyle of godliness.

Every Christian should have a prayer list, a list of people they call out to God for salvation. We have to go before God for those who cannot enter into the presence of God; we are the priest that can enter into God’s presence and petition God for the unsaved for their salvation with sanctification.

As Christians, we should be like our Father; we shouldn’t want to see anyone go to hell; it’s a place where the spirit never dies, and the individual is conscious of what’s happening to them. The next time you think you don’t have anything to pray for, think about the souls that are hellbound without God in their lives.

Going to a priest and confessing will not keep you from going to hell. The priest also will go to hell if he or she is not living in holiness. Secondly, the person you need to confess your sins to is God, and ask Him for forgiveness and to save you.

If you read or study the Bible, it does not instruct the believer to go to a priest. (Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much – James 5:16). It does not say the priest, but whoever is righteous. (If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – 1st John 1:9).  Confess your sins to God, and ask for forgiveness.

While confessing your sins to others in the church, make sure they are saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, and will keep what you tell them to God and Him only. Everyone in the church is not saved, or they’re gossipers and will tell what you don’t want to be told.

It’s good to go to those that are mature in Christ to help you walk through your difficulties with prayer. Find mature saints to confess your sins; they will keep your sins between them and God.

Reading and studying the Bible is crucial for the believer it doesn’t matter what denomination; this is why Satan will do everything he can to keep you from reading the Bible because he knows the Bible is a mirror; it will reflect what is in our character and spirit that needs to be changed to reflect Jesus.

As Christians, we should grow spiritually; we shouldn’t be the same way we were last year or ten or twenty years ago. We should be going from glory to glory (But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord – 2nd Corinthians 3:18). This only comes about as we present ourselves in submission to His written Word.  The more we come into the presence of God by prayer, fasting, reading, and studying His Word, the more we will be changed into His image.

Judgment will start at the church because sin is in the camp; congregants are living and practicing sin just like the children of Israel, and because of their disobedience, they were not allowed to enter the Promise Land. Whichever comes first, death or Jesus, we must live a godly life to enter Heaven; sin can’t and will not enter Heaven. If we’re practicing sin, neither will we.

Read the Bible, and make a decision about who you will follow,  yourself, Satan, or God! Everyone that has died will be resurrected at the coming of Jesus, some to live eternally with the Father, and others to live eternally with Satan and his kingdom, hell!
