Sheep Clothing

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves – Matthew 7:15.

Spiritual wolves come to destroy the sheep and make the sheep believe lies. They say the right words that make them seem plausible, palatable, and pleasant. If you don’t have spiritual discernment, you will be led from the narrow path to a path where you can live in any way you want without the instructions of the Bible to guide you.

Many have been led away from true Christianity to a doctrine that does not offend, and conformity; everyone is accepted for what he is. Those who aren’t true Christians will be offended by the Word of God because it goes against their lifestyle.

Yes, we can come to God just as we are, but He does not allow us to stay that way. When we are new converts, He shields us from a lot of the attacks that Satan brings towards us. As Christians, we are supposed to grow in the grace of God.

Grace is not giving us permission to sin, but it keeps the wrath of God from us. If it weren’t for the Grace, many of God’s people would be destroyed by the millions on a daily basis. Sin is hardly mentioned in the pulpits, and it’s leading the people to a sinful lifestyle.

You don’t see many altar calls; the altar is where people have decided to die from their sins; they will no longer live to appease their flesh but to live a lifestyle that will be pleasing to God. Then there are those who come to the altar and leave the altar the same way they came because they don’t have anyone standing with them praying against everything that will hinder the individual’s spiritual growth.

Congregants and preachers don’t bring their Bibles to church like they used to; they use their phones. There is nothing about a phone that is holy. The Bible inscription is “Holy,” meaning everything that pertains to the book is holy from a holy God! We use our phones for TikTok, Facebook, Messenger, and other social media.

If the pastor is not using a Bible, he or she is telling the people, oh, it’s okay to use your phone. This is not about a new generation; it’s about not telling them the instructions of God. Use your phone to follow and talk to others, but when you want to talk and hear from God, you use the book He gave for His followers to use.

Pastors are marrying the same genders when the Bible clearly states it’s an abomination (Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with a womankind: it is an abomination – Leviticus 18:22). New Testament indicates the same (And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet – Romans 1:27. This does not mean that God does not love them, but He hates the action.

A fornicator or adultery is not pleasing to God. Pastors are not teaching against it with the Word of God (But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death – Revelation 21:8.

The pastor and teachers should instruct the congregants on living according to God’s written Word. Yes, many will be offended, but their souls will be spared from hell. If the people aren’t taught, they will not know how to live a true Christian life.

Holy Spirit is not being taught; every Christian should have this to live a Christian life according to the Word of God and not the doctrine of men. How can they ask for the Holy Spirit when it’s not being taught?

The Holy Spirit is not just for speaking in a tongue you don’t understand or jumping or shouting. He’s there to seal you until the day of redemption and to assist you in living a godly lifestyle that will be pleasing to God. Tongues are a sign that one has been baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to talk with God, and the Fruit and Gifts of the Holy Spirit are manifested in the believer’s life.

If the pastor is more concerned about how many members or how much money is being brought into the church is not concerned about your soul. Jesus instructed His followers to follow the straight and narrow path (Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it – Matthew 7:14). Meaning the straight and narrow path is submission to the Word of God and applying it to our lives daily.

Christians shouldn’t live the same lifestyle as a nonbeliever. If so, they are carnal Christians, and a carnal Christian is considered an enemy of God (Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the laws of God, neither indeed can be – Romans 8:7). We can’t live a carnal lifestyle and think it acceptable to God because it’s not.

We are to present ourselves as living sacrifices to God, meaning we are serving Him with our spirit, soul, mind, and body in holiness (I beseech you, therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God which is your reasonable service – Romans 12:1). When people aren’t taught the Bible they live according to what they think is right.

Apostles, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and prophets are responsible for teaching God’s people how to live according to the instructions of the Bible. If we’re not doing that, we aren’t acting out our titles. We reflect the title, the title doesn’t reflect us. They are not only to teach it but to live it!

If your pastor only teaches messages about blessings and not the requirements to receive the blessings, you’re in the wrong church. God’s Word never changes, and neither does He. What He has given godly men to write in the book of instructions that is called the Bible; He wants us to follow the instructions and apply them to our lives daily.
