Doctrine

Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son – 2nd John Verse 9.

There are various teachings that are not the doctrine of Christ or the Bible. Many teachings insert a Scripture here and there to make it look like it’s Biblical teaching, whereas they are the doctrine of men and the doctrine of devils.

We can’t worship God and reject Jesus; neither can we worship Jesus and reject God. When we accept both, then we will have both the Father and the Son. The Bible is the Word of God, and Jesus came teaching what He had learned from His Father to instruct His followers.

As Christians, we should know the Word of God well enough; if anyone comes teaching another doctrine, we will know not to accept its teaching. Prayer and studying the Word of God are very important to gain knowledge of the One we worship and to be equipped not to be deceived.

There is no other way to salvation but through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It does not come from Mary, Buddha, Confucius, or any other doctrine. Jesus came to earth to reconcile mankind to the Father, and He took our sins upon Himself.

Jesus had no sin; He was the only One who lived a perfect, holy life. He was the only One God would accept His blood for the sins of mankind. He was the only One who died and was resurrected from the dead and is sitting on the right hand side of the Father.

The name of Jesus is the only name we can go before the Father and make our request. If you ask or pray in any other name, your prayers will not be answered (And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son -John 14:13). Christians are being led astray by other doctrines because they will not take the time to read and study the Word of God. You need the Word of God daily, not just on Sunday.

As Christians, we can’t say and do everything. We are the body of Christ; Jesus didn’t go everywhere and do everything the world was doing because He was of the Father, and if we are followers of Jesus, then we can’t go everywhere and do everything the world is doing.

We can’t abide by any doctrine other than the doctrine of Jesus Christ (Be not carried away with divers [various] and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats [food] which have not profited them that have been occupied therein – Hebrews 13:9). Some doctrines teach about not eating certain meats when the Bible clearly expresses God have not restrained different meats both in the Old Testament and New Testament (Notwithstanding [however] thou mayest kill and eat flesh in all thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, according to the blessing of the Lord thy God which He hat given thee; the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as the roebuk, and as of the hart. Only ye shall not eat the blood; ye shall pour it upon the earth as water -Deuteronomy 12:15-16). (Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in a drink or in respect of a holiday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days -Colossians 2:16).

Some have taught that we shouldn’t worship on Sunday; Jesus said the Father was looking for them that would worship Him in spirit and truth (God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth – John 4:24). God wants our heart fully, not a certain day that we worship. We attend church on Sunday to worship Him, not a tradition. You can attend church on Saturday, and there is nothing wrong with it, but you must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

You must present your body as a living sacrifice whatever day you worship Him. You must love God with all your heart, soul, and spirit. That’s when you’re worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. Loving Him and loving each other. Forgiving and releasing people.

God has left His written Word for Christians; His Word is a roadmap to heaven and bypassing hell. The Bible is the only book you can read, and it will change your life if you apply the instructions. It gives direction on how to please the Father and how to live life as a professing Christian.
